Eco Ardence is one of the most uniform housing developments in Shah Alam — which makes renovation planning easier than most townships. The basic floor plate, structural grid, and electrical capacity is the same across most blocks.

The standard layout

Most Eco Ardence link houses share:

  • 22’x70’ footprint (typical)
  • Open-plan ground floor with structural columns at predictable points
  • Single-flight staircase on the side wall
  • Standard 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom upstairs configuration
  • Rear yard with built-in laundry / wet kitchen rough-in

Knowing the structural grid in advance saves design time and money.

Common renovation scopes

The three most common Eco Ardence renovations:

  1. Wet + dry kitchen split — moving the cooker hob outside to the rear yard
  2. Master bedroom upgrade — opening into the adjacent bedroom for a walk-in wardrobe
  3. Ground-floor study / formal area — converting the standard powder room corner

Township-specific rules to know

  • No facade changes without architectural committee approval
  • Noise hours restricted to 9am–5pm Mon–Sat
  • Material delivery through township gate logistics
  • Defect period with developer is separate from your renovation contractor’s defect period — don’t confuse them

Cost ranges

For mid-2026 Eco Ardence renovations:

  • Light refresh: RM80k–RM130k
  • Moderate: RM160k–RM280k
  • Full transformation: RM350k+

Pricing tends to run slightly higher than older Shah Alam townships because access logistics add labour cost.

What we’d plan for

  • Get the as-built drawings from the developer before you brief any designer
  • Confirm structural columns and slab thickness with a quick site survey
  • Submit any facade-touching design to the township early — approvals take time
  • Budget 10–15% contingency for hidden electrical or plumbing variations

Things people ask us

01Can I extend my Eco Ardence house?+
Setia Eco Ardence enforces strict facade and footprint guidelines through their township architectural committee. Most rear extensions need both township approval and MBSA approval — and many proposed extensions get rejected. Always check before designing.
02How long does an Eco Ardence renovation take?+
A standard scope (kitchen, wet areas, flooring, built-ins) takes 10–14 weeks. Anything involving facade or structural work adds 6–10 weeks for approvals on top.
03Are there preferred contractors for Eco Ardence?+
There's no official panel. The township management has a list of contractors who've completed projects there before — that list is a useful starting point because they're already familiar with access and noise rules.
